this week marked the first time maya met kei's side of the family. kei's parents and sister made the long trip from japan to the bay.
they loved maya. maya adored them! hopefully we'll see each other again very soon. until then, we'll have to make sure to start teaching maya japanese (well, kei will have to and the girls of the house will learn together).

Carlos is so right! In that last photo, Maya looks so japanese! She has the sweetest expression on her face too.
