summer in the OC

we just got home from 10 days in the OC and we packed a ton of stuff into a week in a half.

maya's great grandma, nana techa, and great aunt, delia, were in town from mexico and carlos made the long trip from nyc, so the house was filled with family.

a trip of firsts began with maya being christened into the cult of disney! she went on casey jr., dumbo, the carousel, a bug's life, mr. toad's wild ride and the petting zoo. she also got her very first pair of mouse ears. thanks grandpa and grandma for an amazing day!















we also celebrated the 15th anniversary of the annual family reunion and maya got to meet millions of cousins she'd never seen before. the weather was perfect and maya went nuts in the bounce house. don't worry, she was under heavy supervision.

grandma, nana and delia dressed up maya in a traditional ballet folklorico outfit and she loved, loved, LOVED it! she also received some mariachi marionettes, which i have yet to learn how to animate.










we visited the santa ana zoo and maya had the most fun with the lizard and tortoise statues. go figure!



we hung out at great grandma and grandpa's house. great uncle robbie was there and maya and he exchanged funny faces.






we took a daily walk to the local park and maya was fascinated with the ducks and lake. uncle eddie chased her around and they indulged in string cheese and blueberries.
