we made a trek south beyond gilroy to the quaint town of morgan hill to visit uesugi farms and get our halloween pumpkins. this place was like a little carnival with rides, corn mazes, bands, food and, of course, pumpkins.

hayride queue

kei took maya on the butterfly hayride, which teaches the kids about a butterfly's life from larvae to wings. at first glance i though the caterpillar had a shank in its mouth... but then upon closer inspection i discovered that it's a corn cob.

maya and i took another hayride through uesugi's other fields.

that's one big pumkin

this ride hauled!

it sprinkled a little while we navigated the corn maze. maya made a makeshift umbrella.

of course we still had to pick our pumpkins

this one was a bit heavy for maya

Looks like so much fun! My fave was when you thought the caterpillar had a shank in its mouth! That will make me laugh all day.
